good value, central and clean
yes, walls very thin, we could hear people conversation next room and noisy
Location, location, if you like mountains and culture. Away and above the concrete and over crowded coastal resorts. Need car hire to explore the area, however, beware the Spanish drivers.
Our room was shabby and uncomfortable. Blind. TV remote and telephone all broken, but hastily repaired once reported to reception. We departed hotel three days early due to UK emergency and could not get refund!!!
This hotel was excellent value, views are terrific, situated in a small beautiful mountain village, with lots of small shops.
Location, is excellent for trips to other cities. Mijas is a beautiful town with lovely restaurants and all facilities, very good for families, young couples and near to main towns like Fuenguirola,Terremolinos, Hotel has got a lovely restaurant & Bar with piano and lovely view over the montains. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Mijas hotel. IS ideal for anybody as the layout of the room and facilities is very convenient, the pool bar has got the variety of snacks and drinks. very tranquil atmosphere and relaxing.
Excellent traditional Spanish Hotel. Many comments previously had complained about the food, particularly breakfast. Suprise suprise it was Spanish so excellent fruit selection, breads, cheese, and hams. If people want eggs and bacon every day just like at home then go to Blackpool, not a Spanish Hotel in Spain! Fabulous location and thoroughly enjoyable break. '
Hard Sunbeds and a bit of a shortage. No Tea/Coffee facility in room and you had to pay extra for a fridge, not the norm in a 4 star hotel nowadays.
Lovely hotel - situated perfectly for a lovely stay in Mijas which is a beautiful Spanish village. Had a fab sea view room with amazing views which was kept spotlessly clean throughtout our stay. Nice pool with amazing views again and staff who were as helpful as they could be despite the language barrier. Their English luckily was so much better than our Spanish. Answered any questions we had. Would recommend to anyone.
Nothing - it was perfect for our stay. lovely and clean and beautiful location. Only downside was no courtesy room for a shower as we had a late flight coming back. Wasn't a major issue but would have been nice.
We have stayed at this hotel on two occasions now and the location never disappoints. The pool/outside snack bar area is great for adults and children alike but facilities are limited. The rooms are very clean and can not be faulted for the hotel star standard. We were in the newer extension on this occasion and had a fabulous terrace area. This allowed us to sit out in an evening whilst our daughter was asleep and enjoy the view and peaceful location. The hotel is situated above Fuengirola and therefore is away from the large metropolis but large resorts are easy to travel to via public transport.Ideal!
Do not bother eating at the hotel in an evening. The food is poor to say the least and there is plenty of choice in the village to eat and drink if you so wish. The air conditioning in our room on this occasion was adequate but last year we were in the original part of the hotel and the air conditioning was very poor;especially in August when the temperature was in the mid 30's!Our daughter is 6 and if you are expecting large play areas then this hotel is not for you but kids can get spoilt!
Its location is exellent staff very friendly
the beds were very uncomfortable
Location and Hotel are first class
If I am being picky, the food, although good, is a little repetitive.
The female receptionist was very friendly and helpful when I mislaid my passport, making phonecalls on my behalf free of charge. Good breakfast. Good parking.
Room a little tired and miles from reception, view blocked by a large tree. As the hotel was not very full we could have been allocated a more convenient room with better view.
Swimming pool was nice and the hotel is at a quiet location Favourable price
Rooms had extremely thin walls so I could here my neighbour snoring! Very thin towels and generally poor bathroom. No bathrobe. No breakfast served in the room. Very noisy restaurant and poor quality breakfast I booked a 'superior room' but my room was the same as the one of my friend.... Plastic sheet on the matras...This is certainly not a 4* hotel. Max. 3*
It was very handy for exploring Mijas. Great for parking and access, and helpful nstaff.
Only had breakfasts, but not impressed with the way food was cooked. Eggs 6 other pruducts left to get cold
Excellent location and on the whole the hotel was good. The staff were helpful but a bit thin on the ground particularly in the dining room.
I agree with other reviews that the hotel needs some investment in refurbishment. I wouldn't say it was shabby but some new carpets would enhance the general appearance of the hotel. The breakfast was not four star standard and needs to be improved. We were very disappointed with the 'fitness suite' which was only two cycle machines. This should not be listed on the web site as a 'fitness suite' as it does not meet the usual minimum standards.
Wonderful location with friendly, efficient and helpful staff. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The food was good, plentiful with lots of choice. I would certainly stay there again.
The bed was a little uncomfortable
We were in the heart of the village close to restaurants, sites and local buses.
